Natural hydrogen Training: Reviews and Feedbacks

“Thanks for an informative course. I’m intrigued by this emerging discipline and looking forward to participating in its future.
Eric has a wealth of experience and his clear presentations were complemented by informative extra input from Jean.
Many thanks” Andrew Botsford (Inpex) – December 2023
“Thank you, Team LH2G, Eric C. Gaucher, and Jean Gaucher, for this one-of-a-kind and unique experience.
The workshop’s technical quality was outstanding. It offered valuable insights into natural hydrogen factories and the latest advancements in exploration.
The discussions on hydrogen exploration strategy and its integration into the future energy economy were beneficial. The hands-on field training was impressive, enabling us to learn soil gas analysis techniques and examine various mantle rock outcrops.
The hospitality and food were excellent, and the opportunity to explore the cultural heritage of South France enriched our experience.
As always, Achyuta Ayan Misra and Arijit Ghosh were in supercharged mode; It has never been a dull moment with them.” Sudipta Tapan Sinha (RIL) – March 2025
“Recently completed a highly impactful and insightful training session on Natural Hydrogen exploration led by Eric C. Gaucher & Jean Gaucher of Lavoisier H2 Geoconsult. This comprehensive program provided a valuable framework for strategically planning our future efforts in this exciting field. Eric’s extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry offered a crucial perspective on integrating established play analysis techniques for this novel resource. The training significantly shifted my understanding, revealing the potential for a structured, rather than purely accidental, approach to Natural Hydrogen discoveries. Experiencing real-time field anomaly measurements was particularly compelling and reinforced the tangible reality of this exploration methodology. I am optimistic about the potential for Lavoisier H2 Geoconsult, driven by Eric’s passion and Jean’s enthusiasm, to establish a commercially viable Natural Hydrogen reserve in the French Pyrenees. This advancement would be a significant milestone for the scientific community, inspiring similar systematic exploration initiatives in other regions of the world including India. Finally, I alongwith my colleagues Sudipta Tapan Sinha, PhD, FGS and Achyuta Ayan Misra extend a special thanks to E&P Academy of Reliance Industries Limited for their proactive support of exploring new energy solutions for India’s growing energy needs.”Arijit Ghosh (RIL) – March 2025

“We were very excited and eagerly looking forward to this training and workshop by very knowledgeable Eric C. Gaucher and extremely enthusiastic Jean Gaucher from LH2G.
The discussions we had in the Ampere room and in the field has given me enough fodder to work on developing an Indian case.
I liked the choice of outcrops and reference material. I am sure that they have hundreds, if not more, sites that were studied. But, it is sometimes very difficult to find suitable ones for a 3 days’ worth of fieldwork. The visited outcrops were just the right enough to pique our thoughts and to analyse the information on the back of our heads.
Accompanied by great teammates Sudipta Tapan Sinha, PhD, FGS and Arijit Ghosh every discussion is fruitful and invigorating.
A huge shoutout to LH2G for organising the fieldtrip and hosting us in Pau, and sharing tidbits of the history.” Achyuta Ayan Misra (RIL) – March 2025
” Thank you Eric C. Gaucher and Jean Gaucher for the training ! It was really interesting and insightful. Thanks to your expertise in this growing field and to your communicative enthusiasm, we are now more motivated than ever to start exploring in KSA ! For anyone who would like to know more about natural H2, no matter the project, I highly recommend getting in touch with the team at Lavoisier H2 Geoconsult!” Antoine Delaunay (KAUST) – October 2024
