Why choose
Lavoisier H2 Geoconsult
to find geologic hydrogen ?

LH2G is a french geosciences research, consulting and services company founded in 2022 by Eric C. Gaucher (PhD), an international expert in natural hydrogen, assisted by Jean Gaucher for technical and economic studies. Fueled by its research in geochemistry and working in association with a wide network of geoscience professionals, LH2G develops, supplies and applies new methods for exploring and evaluating geologic hydrogen reserves.
LH2G operates mainly internationally, advising major oil and mining groups in their transition to natural hydrogen exploration (France, Brazil, Austria, Japan, Canada, India…). It produces soil/water/gas data and integrates them into 3G-R (Geology, Geophysics, Geochemistry, Reservoir) syntheses to generate hydrogen prospects for its own account or for private clients. Three exploration permits in France have resulted from this work. LH2G is a minority shareholder in the 45-8 Grand-Rieu permit with operators 45-8 Energy and Storengy. A fourth is in the process of being finalized in Europe. It is developing its own research in public-private projects with partners in France (H2NA, Nouvelle Aquitaine) or China (Deep Time Digital Earth). LH2G is also the winner of a project funded by the US Department of Energy (USDOE-ARPAE) in collaboration with Texas Tech University. Eric Gaucher is also the leader of the TASK 49 (Natural H2) of the International Energy Agency’s TCP Hydrogen.
The public results of some natural hydrogen research programs are already available, demonstrating the high scientific level of the company with articles in Nature Geosciences and Science Advances.
LH2G has also participated in the popularization of the general public through interviews and films in the mainstream press.
